AIR Level 1 Coaching Course
September 30, 2019 - October 3, 2019
Our Level 1 coaching course is a baseline, sport specific, short track speed skating course, covering the basics for club level coaching.
This course will be facilitated by Victorian Coach Gordon Church, assisted by Frank Anderson (WA), both Level 2 coaches with Australian Ice Racing.
The course covers 5 modules, namely:
- Module 1: Equipment
- Module 2: Basic Principles
- Module 3: Games
- Module 4: Lesson Planning
- Module 5: Rules in Action
In addition to the standard course content, this course will also allow prospective coaches an opportunity to get on the ice with the current Australian National High Performance Coach, Richard Nizielski. Richard will also lecture in a certain aspects of coaching and athlete development that will be complimentary to the Level 1 components.
Pre Requisites: SPORTAUS Community Coaching General Principles (CCGP) course
